Claire Askew – Edinburgh Book Festival Appearances – 2018
10th June 2018Former Tyne and Esk Writing Fellow Claire Askew is making two appearances at the Book Festival this year, on Friday the 17th August (reading from her award-winning collection of poetry This Changes Things) and Sunday the 19th August (her crime fiction debut All the Hidden Truths).

10th June 2018A staged reading of former Tyne and Esk Creative Writing Fellow Tom Murray’s play Woodstock is being performed at the venue Dram! on Woodlands Road in the West End of Glasgow. Please see attached flyer for more information.

19th May 2018It’s coming up to that time of year again – the 3 Harbours Festival – held in various venues in Prestonpans and Cockenzie / Port Seton. Thank you to every writer who entered the competition, thank you to everyone who thought about it but might wait till next year (go on – just try it!), thank you to the co-ordinators of each group who have encouraged members to submit an entry, and thank you to our judge…..
There were 39 entries for the competition, 17 prose and 22 poetry. What an amazing testament to the talent and willingness of Tyne and Esk Writers!

Creative Writing Workshop – Musselburgh – May 19th
16th April 2018The ever popular Vibrant Musselburgh Arts Festival Creative Writing Workshop returns to the Fisherrow Centre, South Street, Musselburgh on Saturday May 19th, this time in an afternoon slot of 2.30-4.30pm.
The facilitator is the terrific Rachel Amey: Rachel is an award winning poet, but the workshop will be wide ranging and not restricted to poetry.

WOTY (Writer of the Year) 2018
