New Writing Course at The Lint Mill in the Southern Uplands

Our second writing course at The Lint Mill will be led by poet and creative writing teacher Alicia Stubbersfield. It is timed to coincide with the publication of Alicia’s fifth volume of poetry “Enigma Machine”. It was a very successful course last year and we hope to repeat the lovely experience with new participants, although two of last year’s group have booked again!

The beautiful, peaceful environment of The Lint Mill is the perfect place to leave behind the stresses and pressures of everyday and to reconnect with yourself and your creativity in simple, comfortable surroundings nestled in a lovely landscape. We invite paricipants to enjoy the special atmosphere here for the course.

As well as offering space to think in inspiring surroundings, one of the delights of coming to The Lint Mill is the amazing food, a real farm to table experience. Colin cooks so people can focus on your special time away nurturing their creativity. He uses only organic ingredients, most of which we have grown and reared ourselves on our organic smallholding. From delicious soups and home baked sourdough bread to fresh, creative salads in the summer and hearty casseroles to warm the cockles in winter. The food is always freshly made and seasonal.

Full details of this upcoming course are on our website here It is not residential but it is fully catered and we have made an arrangement this year with a lovely B&B nearby for those travelling from further afield. We can also arrange pick-up and drop-off between the venue and the B&B.
