Using forms on this site

When you fill in a form on this website, the information you submit gets sent directly to our inbox and is not stored on the site.

We use a security app (Google reCaptcha) to prevent us getting spam sent through the forms. This app is categorised as preventing unsolicited ‘marketing’ and you will therefore need to accept the marketing cookies in order to submit a contact/signup form or course booking.

Using the membership signup/renewal and the contact forms: We ask you for relevant personal information in order to communicate with you as a member or offer you further information if you’ve made an enquiry. We ask you for email AND phone number for this purpose. We do this because if you mistype your email address, we can contact you by phone/text and get in touch that way. We ask for a partial postcode to give us the general area of where you live. This is useful background knowledge when applying for grants.

How will we use and store your information?

We need to share your personal information with the group representatives. This means your personal information will then be stored on their electronic devices or perhaps paper address books. The representatives will communicate with you through their personal email addresses.

If we need to share your information with anyone other than your group representative, we will always ask for your permission first.

All personal information that we collect is stored electronically, nothing is stored on paper, unless as previously mentioned, group reps need to write any information on paper, according to their needs.

If you have applied or renewed you membership by paper/post, we record your details in our electronic cloud based database, after which we destroy the original paper form.

View, change or request deletion of your personal information

At any time, you can visit this page to request to view, update, delete your personal details or report a data breach, if you are concerned that one has taken place.

If you request deletion of your personal information, we will ask your group rep to also delete any information they hold.

Social Media Platforms

Communication, engagement and actions taken through social media platforms on which we participate on, are custom to the terms and conditions and the privacy policies held with each platform respectively. If you make contact with us on a social media platform, we might ask you to ‘private message us’ so we can continue a private conversation.
