The Open University in Scotland are delighted once again to be collaborating with The Writers’ and Artists’ Yearbook (Bloomsbury) to present a day of advice on writing and publishing, called How to get published.

This full-day event, held at Summerhall, Edinburgh, includes practical presentations and panel discussions featuring award-winning authors and publishing professionals. You’ll hear from guest speakers such as Louise Welsh, author of novels including The Cutting Room, The Plague Times Trilogy and The Second Cut; Kerry Hudson, author of novels including Thirst, and the memoir Lowborn; and novelist and screenwriter Rachelle Atalla, whose debut The Pharmacist was published in 2022. You’ll also hear from a range of literary agents and publishers, and there will be a networking lunch on the day.
