Another short story competition for your consideration
The V.S. Pritchett Short Story Prize is now open for submission to find the best unpublished short story of the year. The author of the winning entry will be awarded a prize of £1,000 and have their story published in Prospect magazine online and in the RSL Review.

The closing date for entries is Friday 1 September 2023 at 5pm (BST). Submissions cost £7.50 per story (you may submit multiple); however, we do also offer a number of free entries to low-income writers based in the UK only. For more information, how to request a free entry, and to apply, please see here. For full eligibility and guidelines please see here.
